Creating a Cosy Resting Spot for Your Cat or Small Dog

Cats and small dogs spend a large part of the day resting. A good spot is more about location and comfort than about price.

1. Pick a quiet corner

Choose somewhere away from heavy foot traffic and loud appliances, but still close enough that your pet can see you. Many pets like a spot with a wall behind them.

2. Think about the type of bed

  • Hooded or cave beds give a sheltered feeling. Our hooded pet bed is one example.
  • Open beds and mats suit pets that like to stretch out, such as the oval pet bed.
  • Blankets add a soft layer on sofas or in baskets. Take a look at the sherpa-style blanket.

3. Match the size

Your pet should be able to turn around and lie in their usual position. Check your pet's length when sleeping and compare it with the dimensions on the product page.

4. Make it familiar

Place a blanket or toy that already smells like home in the new bed. Give it a few days; many pets need time to accept something new.

5. Keep it clean

Choose removable covers or washable fabrics when possible, and wash bedding regularly according to the care instructions.
